I've so many games I want to play and I just keep adding to the list, I picked up an RPG called Star Ocean yesterday for under a fiver! that’s going to be a time sink, I'm also a little addicted to Black Ops, I was tense as hell when I first started playing online but now I use a few rounds to relax before going to bed I‘m still pants though.
Then there is another RPG I was playing before Christmas that I need to get back to before I forget the plot, and Mass Affect 2 & Undead Nightmare need finishing, also F1 2010 demands more attention than I’ve given it, oh and not forgetting the Wife & kids.

Ummm I think you'll find Wife and Kids is actually called The Sims, you have the game you should know it's name. I have Star Ocean on the Game Cube I think, I got near the end but I didn't really care for it and didn't finish it, I have been looking at one that came out recently. A friend asked me to get Black Ops, I haven't yet, he never gets games I ask him to and his girl friend has semi moved here so I don't see him any more and hardly see him online so I'm not getting the game just to play with him when he's no on *Annoyance vented*. Do you swear a lot on Black Ops, I used to with CoD4 MW2.

Logged back in but I've just forgot how to play it. I don't usually have any idea what I'm doing playing an mmo, so that shouldn't be a problem.

It's not the easiest MMO to play at the beginning when you get past the tutorial, you get a bit flooded with things that don't make the most sense, for example I have no idea what I should pick for my char, science, mystical or arms. I'm not sure what Ice blasts come under science or mystical, I picked science though and it doesn't make a lot of difference because it's just really for crafting new devices (Like making armour in normal MMO's) and you find those and if you do pick the wrong one you can always just go to the other and pick that, I think you loss the level you got in the one you had though. I think some devices give you new powers as well, I have one which increases my running speed and jumping height but I have super speed so I don't need it. You can also undo any powers you pick but it costs ingame money, which isn't really used for much.

Oh yeah don't download from the games website for some reason they are really slow, google it and get it from file planet or whatever you prefer.

I should point out it's just web site and downloading thats slow the game itself runs fine.

You'll need to install 1 patch when the game starts it's online 300mb or so but it took me ages to download, I thought it was like 3 or 4gb when I looked I though WHAT! it was downloading at about 4 - 5kb's. Hope it's faster for you guys.

Been playing "Star Ocean - The Last Hope" while I wait.
It's a typical cheesy JYPG pore cut scenes terrible character acting, but the battle field looks superb and the combat is real time, took a while to get used to but very addictive once you do, after having done my first boss it reminds me very much of PSO.

Blockbusters have a sale on their preowened at the moment it only cost £4.95, if your passing Blockbusters and they have a copy treat yourself.

I don't think there are any Blockbusters around here, I never see them. The only game rental place I knew shut down (Cursed building everyone that opens a shop there will close and then the shop won't get sold again for years)

Up and running, well crawling probably judging by the settings it's detected and suggest I run on, only had a very quick look at character creation.. You weren't kidding the possibility's are endless.

Off to bed now will have a proper look when I get a chance tomorrow.

So how's it been going you guys on yet, made your characters?

After hours creating a character, I get "Character creation failed!!" then after several attempts I go on the Forum to find out that specialist" and "savage" aren't supposed to be selectable and should be grayed out, something there looking into apparently ... Hours wasted, my look was built around the specialist skills, so now I need to rethink.

Oh yeah I tried to make a specialist as well, got the same message I thought it was some kind of new security to make sure you can't make more than one account (It was the first char I tried to make on my second account), then later I tried again and I got on, with a different class I guess, figured it was just a connection thing or random bug, I spent quite a long time working on that char as well. I did notice that those two classes because unusable, I just figured they decided they wanted people to pay to use those classes and locked them. Can say the beast class interests me but the specialist is interesting.

I would be quite interested in reading what stats are used for each class, I guess it said in the tutorial but I didn't read anything.

Just to remind you after the tutorial you can alter your character at any time, the only things you can't change are the name unless you pay real money and the class, every other thing is there.

With Fenoman I'm floundering a bit, he feels too weak, I think I messed his stats up, not an unfixable problem since you can remove all the skills etc you give you char with ingame cash but it would use up most of my cash and I don't really know how to build this char. Gunrick on the other hand is doing just fine, I understand hitting things quite well.

Thought about what graphics card you might get Vis? I was going to suggest a GTX 560 but I just looked and it's more expensive than I was expecting, the GTX 460 has gone down in price and I heard it was one of the better Nvidia cards before the 500's were released. I didn't really look at AMD so can't say much about them, chances are you know way more about this stuff than me.

I use a program called Fraps, it's used for most of the video reviews for games on youtube, it shows fps, you can record video and sound with a mic, take screens with it. Yeah the are very decent, I had no idea onboard graphics would look that nice, I was expecting you to have it on the lowest settings, I even turned my settings right down the other day to see what it might be like for you. But yeah doesn't look a whole lot different from mine in those shots. I've been struggling to get to bed before 2am myself, I've sometimes caught myself playing until just before 4am.

This game has a bit of an odd system for friending, I don't think it really uses the name you give your character, I think it uses your @name I've friended a few people on the game that have good names or/and character designs, and whenever the log into I'm told @something logged in. I'm not sure what the @name is I think it's your handle when you make your char, mine is Fenoman@Gunrick I think they did it so that more than one person can have the same name.

Nice character by the way, Fenoman is much more bland, I went for a more simple costume. I've been wanting to make a more outlandish character though.

Oh make sure you save your character costume if you haven't already. Just go to the tailor and when you get into the editor just click save.

I've seen people trying to make characters from other games before and they've never come close, but on this games I've seen some which almost look like they were taken from the game the are mimicking. I'll leave out super heroes since the game is made to be able to make them. Maaybe we should make a mini game of spotting the look-a-likes and screening them as proof.

I've no idea what My @name is, the odd thing was when i went to sign up it said my email was already in use, so I had to go through a load of my passes before it let me on, I can't remember signing up to any Atari game before, and when i go on the forum it recognizes me as Xfox36T that was a game tag I never used, all a bit spooky.

Oh I suggest changing your controls so that fast travel is on R instead of T, I found that T was a bit of a stretch and I press R a lot by mistake and just ran where I didn't want to go (i.e. into a bunch of enemies).

I want to get a mouse with programable buttons so I can use those for attacks instead of the number buttons and/or clicking the icons.

I tell you for all you can make in this game, you can't make fat characters, I tried to make Potling the other day and the closest I could get was wide birthing hips.

I didn't even know about a fast travel button.

Going to give the 360 pad a go later.

Oh sorry your still in the tutorial? Fast travel is like flying or super speed it's basically the mount in this game, you get it at level 6 when you go into the power house.
