For those of us old enough to remember the classic 8bit computers. Sleep
One of the few games that really was amazing.....Elite
Watching that spinning Cobra Mk3 spaceship on the title screen was really something.
I wasted far too much time playing that Very Happy
Programed by Ian Bell and David Braben. Braben then produced the sequel Frontier
for the Amiga and Atari ST.

Looks like he`s now trying the kickstarter route to get a new sequel made.

It was at 356k last time I looked and they`re after £1,250,000 by january.
Might have to Dust off the old BBC B. lol!

WOW today is a day for coincidences, the docking music for Elite was on the radio today and it started my brother in law and myself talking about Elite. We decided I would get a CD with the Elite docking music and play it as I'm parking.

Thats risky Fenn, I lost a load of ships docking to that tune.
Then you spend a shed load of money to auto dock..... come back from making tea to find
debris from what was your ship. Shocked

If you donate £5000 you can have dinner with that guy and get just about everything in the game named after you.

Elite was the first game I spent a massive amount of time on, I believe in one save file I spent 2 days playing in all. Not a lot by my standards today, I could rack that up in two days but it was back when I was young sharing the TV with my family and my sisters playing their games (It was my oldest sisters computer).
