    Classic is hard as nails.

Been playing on Iron man, just lost my team. Feel sad, they are dead forever. Fortuantly all my vets were recuperting wounds so weren't available, so no great loss.

    Amazing game.

Been pretty interested in this game myself, I've been hoping for the older games to go on sale like 75% off. They haven't granted my wish, gits.

Is it as good as the old games?

I couldn't say. I never really played the first ganes. never had a pc back then, and now it's just so damn frustrating dealing with the games frustrating difficulty, and the crappy interface. I have no nostalgia driving me to actually bother with the thing.

Did you like having your balls handed to you repeatedly by aliens? This still has that. And it's good for it. But it has 20 years of game evolution tacked onto the old formula. It's a sublime strategy experience.

I always like having aliens hand me my balls, that's why I go to space.

Took me a couple of years but I've finally got it (Well had it for a week). Love the game! I found the cover system a bit frustrating at first, the fact that the slow-mo showed that there wasn't really anyway the aliens should have been able to see my guy and they shot through one or more walls, lost a few guys like that.

It's totally an awesome game though, barely been able to stop playing all week. I'm afraid I backed out of XCOM difficulty, I was getting a little frustrated with my lack of guys surviving and I wanted to see what the game would let me have later. I will be going back and playing properly might even start a game tonight.
