    Ah you saw that damn!

All messing around aside, it is a good game, I wouldn't have bought the expansion if I wasn't enjoying it. A three person co-op campaign would be awesome, and if Shrouds around we could do a 4 person. But thats all because you can only do upto 4 people.

Side note: The games are very good value compaired to the actual game, you could only buy one squad from the real game for the same price and you could buy the computer game for.

Yeah it is I just checked, awwww that sucks. Thought it would be 4 player since there are 4 squads.

Still there is 4 player multiplayer.

You can buy the gold edition on Steam for 20 quid.
Need Steam either way you go, and I think it's currently the cheapest anyway,.

You can buy it from Steam, you have to use Steam if you want to play it, if you buy it from Steam you can download it from them, but it's a bit more expensive than buying the boxed version. Once you've registered your boxed copy with Steam you don't need the physical game any more you can just download it from Steam if you want to.

I don't know how much experience you've had with Steam.

If you buy the Gold edition from Amazon it'll cost you just over £10, with postage (£8 otherwise).

Oh don't buy the game used, it won't work if its already been activated on Steam.

That sucks Popp y, I use refresh a lot until I get a set of characters I think I can see correctly. I bloody hate the distorted words or characters security thing, it's like the people you are trying to sign up with hate you and want to make say "Fine I didn't even want to be in your club you stupid jerks!" keep trying though, sooner or later you'll need a Steam account to play any new PC games the way things are going.

The thing is, after it says its wrong and come back and try again later, I'm like staring at it yelling "IT'S NOT WRONG IT EXACTLY THE SAME AS IT APPEARS ON THE SCREEN!!!" yeah I use the refresh too and I couldn't have had a clearer set of characters!.... GIT'S

I'm not going to either, I've spent way too much recently and have too much to play as it is, the only thing I'm getting now is Shogun 2 TW. Thats the only game I intended to get this year.

I still need to complete DoW 2 and Chaos Rising, and we still have the co-op campaign to do. I'll pick the Retribution up when it's cheap.

Man I was lucky to have been able to play last night, this morning my keyboard went mental, I couldn't do anything with it, it confused me typing my e-mail address with right clicking the mouse. Using the touch pad scrolled up all the time no matter where I touched the pad, and tricking to click the mouse rarely worked. First time this happened to me I thought my PC was infected with a nasty virus, now I know it's just that my keyboards batteries are low.

Got to get a load of rechargeable batteries for it.

I yarred myself a copy. Already knew the skirmish game was good, played the beta a fair bit.

Campaign is a bit samey, every mission is basically walk from one end of the map to the other through hordes of enemy and then onto the next one. Last boss fight is fun though.
It's slightly different from the first two. You start of with 4 units like the first games. But you can recruit squads during missions, by collecting requisition and power from crates, and expanding your unit limit by capturing points. So by the end of each mission you usually have armies about the size of those in skirmish. The 4 guys you start with will be either the named heroes, who are indivduals and all very very useful, Or Honor guard aquads, who are fancy versions of standard squads, and raise your unit cap for bigger armies.

Only finished the space marine campaign so far, and about mid way through the Tyranid one. The missions are pretty much exactly the same for each campaign, with very minor flavor differences. Although they do have their own agenda for dong so, they are all going after the same boss guy.

Not wanting to spoil anything, but the Space Marine campaign is slightly dissapointing in not tieing up some plot issues from chaos rising. And the force commander is mysteriously awol and not mentioned at all as far as I could tell.

Normal difficulty is rather easy. With my space marines, I didn't suffer a single casualty througout the whole thing. Although that was helped by having the commander wargear dlc. it's amazing for the entire campaign, and makes commanders litle invincible godlike killers.
It is also rather short, though you do have 6 races to play through as which I guess adds replayability, but you will end up doing the exact same missions 6 times over.

Oh so you have Steam now Po.ppy, whats your anme on there?

I think the only real interest I have in this game is playing as the different races in campaign, it's about bloody time they did that. I don't think there's anything else that really interests me.

Yep steam finally let me in after I bashed the door down & now they can s0d off!

I've given up, I did want to give it a go as I see a few peeps playing it, but as I‘ve now got Halo Wars set up on system link and play against my lad I’ve now scratched that RTS itch. Shame as Amazon have DOW2+Chaos Rising boxed for £8.
