    eloquently said mr.fenon

    a certain toffe-nosed twerp saying things like 'allow' and authorise' doesn't help. he comes across as offensive and dictatorish, perhaps he's been watching the iron lady flick.

    besides bloody politicians they all have an agenda.
    to us normal folks whatever happens scotland and england will remain fwends... SSDD.

    did you see the story that said 160,000 british have been done out of a job by migrants from OUTSIDE the EU ?!

    I don't watch the news or read the paper... well I read the comics and maybe on the way to reading those I might see other stuff. I just don't really care to have people trying to scare me to sell their paper or get viewers.

    I don't really know what the big deal over Scotland becoming independent is, or what Scotland would gain or loss by being independent. Regardless of what it is it barely affects me, I just want Scotland to stay in the UK. We've such a rich history it would be such a shame for you guys to move out, I just fell when you've left home you won't call us any more, oh sure you'll call us at Christmas (If you aren't too pished) and talk for 2 minutes, but we won't be hanging out and playing games any more.

    And what will happen to the Arms? It's a UK pub, will we get split up? Will a line be drawn down the middle of the Arm's and we won't be able to talk to each other any more?

    If we had to loss a country from the UK why couldn't it be Wales, nobody gives a crap about those guys.

    The Arms a UK pub?!

    Since when did Ragol become part of the UK?

    I don’t know what difference it would make to the normal guy in the street, I would just like to know if I can emigrate there and become a national citizen before the UK goes down the pan.

    i think theres very few of us up here who actually care about total independence.

    its more about deciding our own laws for ourselves but actually we're not big enough to be completely independent. Theres less of us here than there is in london...O_O

    it really won't make a difference for the english i suppose - we might end up with the euro though O_O who wants that?

    sigh, I guess the sweaty sock will play.

    I have some Englsh ancestors and relations.
    Just thought i'd get that wee shocker out of the way before i play the bagpipes.

    @Fen
    good point about the media they do tend to blow things out of proportion and most are completely bias to one political party or another.

    The reason you don't GET IT is because England rules England.
    Let me help. Imagine weather forecasters refering to your area as the south rather than England. Imagine the channel paid for by you TV licence screening a Scottish international despite an English one being played the same day.

    Imagine holidaying in Scotland and being told your English pound notes aren't legal tender depite being British currency.
    I could go on and on but i'll leave you with this..
    Imagine if you were ruled by a whole parliament of Gordon Browns.

    @Vis
    kilt's in the post.

    @Sherb
    Last time i looked the sole party for independence beat the ones against into power. Must be those 'very few' that bothered to vote.

    Scottish law has always been different?

    Plenty big enough. Scotland was an independent nation in the past. Nations smaller than Scotland do exist both in terms of population and/or territory.
    Some of them even declared independence from a certain UK !

    Ah but IT WILL make a difference that's why it won't be allowed.

    I'd accept fish suppers as currency if it meant Scotland was ruled by it's own.

    I'm not anti-british or anti-english, just content in my love of the country i was born and raised in. Despite popular belief we Scottish don't hate the English at least not any more than the rest of the world lol

    I won't greet if there's a vote and we stay part of the UK but i would if i didn't honour the nation of my birth. nuff said.

    I do get that and have been trying to avoid getting into that stuff, (By the way the shop I work at does accept Scottish notess, don't know if you have your own coins, nobody has brought any in, I might start asking shops to see if they do accept them, I've been told as long as it has Sterling on the note it's ok, you guys don't make it easy though having like 5 different banks all with different notes, I would hope it's mostly that they don't know if the note is real or not rather than not accepting it) I've been trying to avoid jokes about wars etc between us to avoid sore spots. I have no objections to you having control over your own country (Joke was deleted from here), I just want you to remain part of the UK (Joke deleted), if the nature of the UK changed to us being equals thats fine (This is the point where you get all angry and say "OH YOU'LL LET US RUN OUR OWN COUNTRY, OH THANK YOU, THATS VERY KIND OF YOU, WHERE WOULD WE BE WITHOUT YOU ENGLISH TO TELL US WHAT TO DO!!"). Since I'm the evil English (When your country has ruled over another by force there's nothing you can really say to be the good guy, even being nice is bad because it's taken as they need the help of the English to make their claims valid or they can't do it without the help of the English) in this I didn't want to go any deeper than don't leave us you Scottish bastards (I feel kind of like a kid watching his parents getting divorced).

    Oh the weather thing, I don't watch the weather often but they do call us the south west.

    @Fen
    No offence taken or intended, mate Smile

    I agree the battles between our nations are ancient history 'and in the past they must remain'. Us Scots were as much our own enemy at times.
    The PM would do well to understand this and leave well alone then he might actually get the result he wants.

    In just my own lifetime i saw Scotland ruled by the Conservatives in London after the majority in Scotland voted for Labour. A big fat fail for democracy.
    I dunno if the younger amongst us recall but Scotland were the guinea pigs for the poll tax - and told we were 'typical Scots for whining about it' and yet when it was eventually introduced to the rest of the UK what happened? - Riots!

    Does David Cameron actually have advisors? He's been quoted as saying his children have appalling taste in music because they like Katy Perry.
    That'll be the same Katy Perry with 37 and a half million facebook fans.
    The same Katy Perry nominated for record of the year.
    Way to lose the youth vote you twat.
    I know she's no P!nk but her musics still better than a lot of guff i hear nowadays.
