10 print "g00gle informs me it's the 30th anniversary of the zx spectrum."
    20 goto 10

bloody hell. how to make you feel old Razz

    commence nostalgic mode /

    them were the days tho..

    Atic Atac
    Baron
    Cavelon
    Football Manager
    Harrier Attack
    Manic Miner
    Pacman
    Penetrator
    Rambo
    Saboteur
    SpaceRaiders
The Way Of The Exploding Fist
    Tornado Low Level
    Wheelie
    Wimpy

god i'm struggling to remember there were loads more brilliant ones. There was a game where you built a rocket each level. And what was that one where you watered plants and fought off bees hmmm

Aye games were hard as nails back in the day. real games i'm talking about not like the flowery puff pastry you get now.

    Wasn't that JetPack?
It's now on xbox arcade Bri's a bit good at it. Suspect

Off the top of my head:

    Atic atac
    Lords of Midnight
    The Hobbit
    Manic Miner
    Jet set Willy
    Boulder dash
    Back to School
    Ant Attack
    Knight Lore
    Starglider

Oh the joys of waiting 5 minutes watching flashing lines only to get a load error then adjusting the volume on the external tape deck a smidge and trying again.

Still got a rubber keyed 48K specky in the attic complete with ZX Miocrodrives and ZX printer + silver paper.
And more games than I care to remember.

That was the start of my addiction. geek

good call with back to skool lol

Battle of Britain was great too

yeah the loading games was a cross between torture and psychadelic trip outs

nowadays you can just use an emulator on the pc for instant loads

the hours I spent playing those games, happy days. Very Happy

actually, when I say playing, I mean watching a colourful loading screen take shape before the thing just crashed.

Ah old games, they taught you the value of patience, kids these days expact everything to happen right now and then get bored with it before our old games had even had chance to load.

This is a new site to me and everything appears playable, check out "Halls of the Things" under the 1983 tab I used to spend hours on that.

had a shot of Fred on that site and got to the second level.

just remembered another one i used to play was Manic Mechanic where you had to build up a car to the sound of laurel and hardy style music
