So depressed about the EA account thing I'm thinking about not even playing it.

I've taken all day to downloaded Darksiders that I haven't had chance to try and download it, I doubt I'll install it anytime in the next week.

Ok I did download the game and I just gave it a quick go. It looks like you can play the BC2 single player without an EA account but to play vietnam and online you need an EA account.

The game is alright, with all the visual effect going on it's hard to see what you are supposed to be aiming at. In the first level you ride on a jeep and there is so much dust and smoke you are firing blind mostly, you are also moving very fast so you don't really get chance to hit anything and I doubt you even need to fire the gun anyway.

One of my favourite games of last year, the banter between your squad mates in unrivalled, I would walk slow between way points just to see what they’d say next.

I don't know if you start the game in your team or you are looking at a different team. I thought they were more characterful, so far they just look like any other soldiers. I think I've heard that they are less characterful than the first game.

It's the same team as the first only better as your no longer the new boy. I've not finished the first yet about 75%
I thought the banter was funnier and more varied in the second in fact I don't remember it ever repeating.

I don't know I think you are still a bit of an outcase, in the cutscenes you are always standing apart from the group. It's like those 3 and you. I've played a bit more now and I really like the story I mean the actual objectives are about the same as CoD, but it's the quality of everything and the characters that make it really special.

Caught a bit of an easter egg/insult to CoD MW2 "Special ops team with p***y ass heart beat monitors" if you didn't know CoD MW2 had heart beat monitors.

The game did start with a different team, I thought they were too bland to be Bad Company.

Did a driving section not long ago and it was quite insane, sheer drops and almost completely white screen, could hardly see where I was going.

I think the difference in sound when you are inside and outside is too big but it's ok.

I've had a blue screen as well, it could be that my CPU is overheating on forum post said, and that I should re-apply thermal paste to it but I did put a little too much paste on and getting to my CPU would be a nightmare. I might buy another fan or two but my PC is already really loud. A fan on the top pushing cold air out might stop my cat from using the PC as a step upto the window though.

Just finished the single player game, and yeah it's very good, loved just about all of it. The ending wasn't very challenging or epic, it just kind of ended that was a bit lame really. If it wasn't the end of the game it would have been really good, there just wasn't much in the way of difficulty increase or crescendo. I didn't even realise I was at the end of the game until after I had killed the end "boss", it just felt like there should have been more missions afterwards, I'm not being greedy it's just the end was more of a comma, rather than a full stop.

Still the graphics were brilliant, the characters were all great, I was interested in what was going on even though a lot of it reminded me of CoD MW2 and/or CoD BO's. Story wasn't original but it was done well. I think for me the guns were one of the stars of the game, they just looked so good, you see these same guns in other games but in this they just were stunning. There was a problem with the sound in that when you went inside the sound changed too much, it was getting quite stupid towards the end of the game, I didn't want to go into builds because of it.

*Sigh* Now I have to make an EA account so I can play Vietnam and play online. I think thats the worst part about finishing the game.

Ok I lucked my old EA account when I guessed what it might have been. Had to try it out, I know one of my EA accounts got banned, can't remember why now. I didn't want to register my game to it and find out that I'm not able to do anything with it.

Did you like the tank part? if that was expanded into a standalone game Id have it.

The tank part was pretty good, I did that a while ago and I don't clearly remember it, when I tried I remembered Crysis' tank part, I'll need to play again to remember properly. I think the quad bikes (Was it quads or a jeep?) in the snow was one of my favourite bits, it looked really good and I couldn't see far infront of myself at all on a narrow road.

Just registered my game, didn't know Vietnam was only online, I thought there would be a few solo missions.

I used the play now option and ended up in games on my own, in the third game I joined like that I got kicked with the message you are either banned or this server is region locked, I crapped myself because I thought I was banned, like I said in my other post I thought one of my EA accounts was. I hoped it was just the region block and tried looking for a server instead of using play now, 0 servers found which added to the fear that I had been banned, I clicked on options and tried searching again and this time games came up and I was able to join them without getting booted. Got my ass completely kicked though.

Just after the thing at the port, there is a railway track that you follow and meet up with a tank regiment, and then you use tanks for one mission. For me that mission usually went very badly.
