Loving this game, I haven't played it before, I've played things like it though, I actually confused it with Street Fighter when I downloaded it, I just read the first word because the guy on the picture looked like Ryu and the other looked like Ken. It was good on solo but it's nothing compared to online co-op, pissing my friend off by eating food when I don't need it and being a bit of an ass, makes the game a lot of fun. I didn't expect them to put online co-op in.

Re: Streets of Rage
I'm not even completely sure if I have heard of it before.
The first gaming machine I remember played Pong and maybe something else, it was just a joystick with 2 buttons from what I remember don't know what happened to it. Then my sister bought or was bought an Amiga which was hers so only games she wanted were on it, I would have been around 6 at the time I suppose, don't remember too young to really have much choice, I played a few demos of games like Streets of Rage but not actually SoR. Then I only really played friends consoles till I got an N64. I don't think I even thought about asking for a games console till the N64. Well you didn't in those days, you were lucky to get what you were given. Not like kids these days, mummy you don't love me unless you buy me the most popular toy this year. Spoiled brats.

Re: Streets of Rage
I had a friend that lived 3 doors away that had a Megadrive and a SNES, I just went over and played on those and he would come over and we would play on the Amiga, I think my sister who's 11 years older than me had moved out by then.
I played a lot of Alex the Kid, Sonic, Mario Kart, Star Fox, Mortal Kombat 2(?). Don't remember what else we played, it was an innocent time when you could live on just a handful of games.

Re: Streets of Rage
The number of childhood hours wasted on Streets of Rage 2, ah those were the days.
Mind you it had competition Micro Machines, Italia 90, NBA Jam and the ever popular Street Fighter 2 where whoever had our only 6 button pad pretty much auto won. Megadrive was full of win with friends.
