    Sonic Generations Empty Sonic Generations

Post by Fenon Mon Apr 18, 2011 6:17 pm

I just watched a gameplay trailer for it.

I would rather they had just had the old Sonic, instead of having both. I think having them both in the same game would be like meeting the child version of yourself and them being disappointed in what you/they have become. I also didn't realise Sonic looked so different from his old self, I just thought he was a 3d version of the old Sonic.

The old Sonic part of the game looks good, not really interested in the new Sonic part. It would be nice if you could play the single player game in the style of old or new Sonic, so you would have two single player games that are the same but play differently. But what I suspect is that you'll either do a mission as old or new Sonic and then switch, or maybe they have them tag part way through and the gameplay will change.

I don't really trust Sonic Team to make a decent quality game, I mean with Sonic at least their are usually a lot of bugs and animations are bad in cutscene's.

I think I'll wait for a few reviews to come in from guys like Angry Joe.

I'm quite excited by this to be honest. Looks to me like they're giving us a Sonic game where we can play old school side scrolling or the newer 3D in-your-face-rush style. I wonder if it'll be like paper mario and allow switching during a level?

I saw a video which said that can play the level in the old or the newer style, don't know if you have to play it twice. I'm still going to wait till it's been reviewed and most likely wait till it's cheap.

I've played the demo and probably would of bought it if there weren't so many good games coming out.

Just played the demo of this, and yeah it's pretty good. Gave me flash backs of playing the first game on my friends SEGA Master System (I suppose thats the console it was on), the thing is while I was playing Sonic Generations I was kind of just wanting to play the original game. The graphics are great and all (They are very good actually) but yeah I was just thinking "Man I've got to buy that original game". I would have been happier if they had left new Sonic out of the game altogether and just man a new Sonic game with the old mechanics.
