    Forsaken World Empty Forsaken World

Made by the same people as Perfect World, it's graphically better. It's just gone into it's 4th Beta and this time it's fully open to anyone, BUT when the 4th beta finishes there will be a player wipe, so you'll have to start again. I'm going to download it to try it out, been waiting for it for a while now.

First impressions, it's a bit crap. It doesn't have Perfect Worlds famously excellent character creation, this one is very basic. I thought that I wouldn't even need to worry about the character create but yeah it's not good, for other games yeah it's normal but from the guys from Perfect World, no not acceptable. It doesn't run well on my PC, nor did Perfect World. I'm something to do with the coding of the game rather than my PC.

Graphics are nice enough, gameplay is a bit slow, it takes a long time to move around even when the game is running correctly, so it gets boring. Quests are a bit hard to read, the text is nearly the same colour as the background and small, granted I had the 1920by1080 screen size but still. Didn't really know where I had to go or what I was doing with the quests, I could have looked at the quest info but I didn't want to.

At the moment I'm giving it a 4 out of 10.

Gave it a bit more of a play this evening and it's actually running fine today. Don't know if they fixed something, there wasn't a patch so I don't know.

Still not going to rate it higher. The quests suck, there's no indicator on the map to show you were to go and some of the areas are quite difficult to navigate, lots of twists turns and heights. The worst start area for finding your way around is the start area for the slowest class, so it's so freaking frustrating.

I'm hoping that since this isn't the full release they will fix the problems with the game when it is fully released.

It has some fun classes and the attack effects are great and actually the reason I want to play this.

Ok this game has been offically released now, it had 4 rounds of closed beta, crazy. Looks like the character creation hasn't been improved, which sucks, hopefully they are planning to do it in a later patch. For me until it has a excellent character creation it has nothing to do with Perfect World.

Thought I'd go back and give this another go since it's been out a while and I heard it's getting it's first expansion soon. Well nothing has changed at the start of the game, you still don't have many character creation options the look is the same and so are the quests, a very good thing is that they have fixed the bug which made the game run slow as heck. I might go back and see if Perfect Worlds bug which was like the one in this game has been fixed as well, I'm supposed to be getting faster broadband soon so I might wait till I get that. They haven't however changed the text for the quests it's still unreadable at least at 1920 by 1080, amd the background is too close to the colour of the text, I doubt it's worth reading anyway.

I love the effect's of the attacks, usually I don't with MMO's or actually most games but these are really nice, I'm afraid that is the major selling point of this game for me, I like it's other graphics and some of the character design but it's really the attack effects. The attacks themselves are run of the mill.

Been playing Forsaken World a bit this week, I tried to login this morning to play abit before my sister visits and I can't really play for a week. The servers are down for maintainance... So now I'm going to play Runes of Magic for a bit, I don't know what my secondary pass is, I might make a new account and just start again since I don't know what I should put my characters skill points into anyway.

I'm still not going to say that Forsaken World a good free MMO, it's not too bad though, looks good you can still auto-route to everything so you don't really need to do much yourself as far as moving around. Quests are still go here collect this, go here kill 15 of those. When you get to the first city you are bombarded by quests and side-quest things, it's too much, frankly when I got to that point before I quit because I couldn't be arsed with it.
